Slewing Arm Davit Cover Instructions

ENVELOP COVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DDG SLEWING ARM DAVIT:

1) Lay the cover on the deck and open up the Velcro & buckle seam.

2) Work from outboard to inboard. Have one man stand on the davit motor bracket and lift the cover so the collar is in the pivot joint.

3) Align the cover so the vertical Velcro seam is on the "inboard section" centered over the cable reel.

4) Pull the cover around the back side so that you can attach the collar at the very top of the davit as shown above. The collar buckle will be outboard.

5) Buckle the first two or three clips on the top side of the unit, and then adjust the cover around the undercarriage. Note the second buckle has black webbing to ensure proper alignment.

6) Secure the internal straps tightly around the underside of the motor and additional outboard straps around the outboard cylinder.

7) Adjust the cover around the davit on the opposite side so it is aligned over the winch. Continue to attach the Velcro and straps moving from top to bottom until all straps are secured.

8) Attach bottom internal strap to the electrical conduit to keep the cover from blowing upward in the wind.

Installation is complete.
